Hi Sherry,

Are you using pocket mac? There is not guide for idoits here. We only cater to technically challenged.

Can you be more specific in what happens when you sync?

I have a Mac computer and I cannot get the software to that syncs the Blackberry with the computer to download. PLEASE help!!
I read what you had written on the internet, but I have to admit that I am somewhat technilogically impaired. Could you give me the idiots' guide to download the software to a Mac, please?!

Hi Julie,

I'm not sure if the Palm is being phased out. It does still use a stylus. I think this is the best option for Mac users on verizon. Though there may be more options these days that I am not aware of since moving to ATT and an iPhone.

Hi everyone,

I have been a palm user for years. So I carry my palm AND my cell ph around. I wanted to combine the two and be able to sync my palm calendar to my cell ph. A Verizon customer service rep at the store told me that the LG Dare would be compatible with my Palm and my MacBook. I have never been able to get anyone to help me at all. I've spent hours working on it and at this point I'm ready to move onto greener pastures. :-) I have to stay with Verizon, so it sounds like I don't want the BB pearl since I'll have problems with my Macbook. Are they fazing out the Palm treo's? Are they still as popular and up to date? Do you still have to use a stylus or are they touch? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
-Julie

Hi Tausha,

The firmware updates make corrections to things like bluetooth pairing or other physical aspects of the phone that need updating. Not one should have to up date firmware regularly but you should have the option to maintenance your phone if the carrier store will not. Transferring media is was pretty straight forward when you plug the 8130 into the USB port us have the option to have it mount as removable media, like a flash drive. Then you can drag and drop your music and photos to the phone. You still have to put them in the correct folders but it was not so bad. It does not sync media. You have to manually move media around.

Hi everyone! I am a representative of a Telus dealer so, yes, I sell these wonderfully annoying cell phones and/or smartphones! I am currently on this site because, unlike some rep's, I do care about the product I sell and if it will be a good thing for my client. I do not want to sell a phone to someone if it will cause them pain and misery! I have a lady who is really interested in the Blackberry Pearl 8130, but she has a MAC computer. Obviously I am aware of the pocketmac for blackberry on the rim website, but I still wanted to know what others have experienced with this as I am fairly unfamiliar with MAC OS. It doesn't seem to be such a great option for her with regards to firmware updates. Can anyone elaborate on these updates for me? Also, no one is mentioning the media aspect of this phone? What about syncing with her music and pictures, will this be an issue? We do carry the MotoQ9m as well as the Palm Treo 755p so if this BB Pearl idea proves to be an ill one then I may offer her one of these devices in its stead! (The MotoQ9m is a really nice lookin phone, but I hope it doesn't carry the previous MotoQ issues! What a pain that was!) Please! Any info for me is greatly appreciated!
